Oversee.net Sells Off DomainFest
Los Angeles-based Oversee.net has sold off its flagship, domain name industry conference, DomainFest, as the compny continues to diversify away from its roots in the domain name management market. DomainFest has been acquired by Namescon, which operates the domain name conference of the same name, according to Namescon, which had announced the deal to DomainFest attendees last week. Pasadena Angels Racked Up Four Exits, Closed 17 Deals in 2014
The Pasadena Angels, one of the most active organized angel investment groups in the Los Angeles area, released some details on the groups' 2014 performance over the holidays, saying that it saw a total of four exits--including a $100M exit over at Bluebeam--and closed 17 deals during the year. DivX Acquired By NeuLion For $62.5M
San Diego-based DivX is changing hands, once again, and has been acquired by streaming video technology provider NeuLion, the two companies said Monday, in a deal worth $62.5 million, split between $37.5M in NeuLion stock and a $25M convertible note. NeuLion said that DivX had an estimated GAP unaudited revenues of $10.8M for the six months ended September 30th. Epicor Completes ShopVisible Buy
Epicor, the big enterprise software developer which has extensive operations in Orange County, said Monday that it has completed its acquisition of ShopVisible, the developer of e-commerce and order management software. The deal had been announced originally on December 11th. No financial details of the acquisition deal have been announced by either of the companies. Epicor is using the acquisition to bolster its ecommerce offerings for the midize and large retail market.

Spotlight Ticket Management Becomes TicketManager, Plans Hiring
Calabasas-based Spotlight Ticket Management, the venture-backed startup which helps companies manage their corporate sports and entertainment tickets for big brands like Coca Cola, Google, Comcast, and many others, has renamed itself Ticketmanager, the company said today. Viper Connects Your Car With Apple Watch, Android Wear

GlySens Raises $12M For Diabetes Monitoring
San Diego-based GlySens said today that it has raised $12M in a Series C funding round, for the company's continuous glucose monitoring systems for people with diabetes. The company said the funding came from both new and returning investors. Name of those investors were not disclosed. GlySens, which is led by Joseph Lucisano, said the funding will go towards further development of its continuous glucose monitoring systems. Linksys Adds Wireless Router, Range Extenders
Irvine-based networking product developer Linksys said this morning that it has released a network router, along with other products for its WRT product family. Linksys said the new WRT1200AC router includes a built in network storage bay and dual band, high gain antennas; Linksys also rolled out a new MIMO router and two, networking range extenders which can be used to help extend out Wi-Fi coverage. Universal Electronics Wins Deal With Comcast
Santa Ana-based UEI reported a win this morning with Comcast, saying that it will supply voice remote controls for Comcast's XFINITY services. Financial details of the agreement were not announced. Universal Electronics said it has already been a supplier of remote controls, remote control technology, and other services to Comcast. The new remote controls apparently include voice commands to change channels and search for shows, over-the-air firmware updates, and other features for Comcast's set (More info...)
