Ziggedy Gets $1.3M For Nonprofit Shopping
Fountan Valley-based Ziggedy which operates an online shopping site which donates a portion of sales to nonprofits, said Tuesday that it has raised $1.3M in a funding round. The funding came from angels. Name of those angel investors were not announced. Ziggedy says it donates 2.5 percent of a user's purchase back to the user's favorite nonprofit. The startup was founded by Huy DangVu.

AutoGenomics Sets IPO Pricing Range
Vista, California-based AutoGenomics, which manufactures molecular diagnostics systems, has set its estimated initial public offering range, saying it expects to sell 3.75 million shares of its common stock at between $11.00 and $13.00 per share. The company filed earlier to list on the NASDAQ Global Market as AGMX. The offering would net the company around $56.0M on the public markets.

Los Angeles-based Epoxy, the social engagement software develoled by Juan Bruce, announced a long list of partnerships this morning with YouTube MCNs. According to Epoxy, it has partnered with Fullscreen, AwesomenessTV, BroadbandTV, BentPixels, Whistle Sports, The BPM Network, The DanceOn Network, GTChannel, INDMUSIC and others, to help them measure, manage, and monetize the social footprint of their creators. Unitas Global Ties With Alert Logic
Los Angeles-based private cloud provider Unitas Global said this morning that it has tied with security software provider Alert Logic, to offer up secure cloud solutions and services. Financial details of the link were not disclosed. The two said that they will offer up Unitas' private cloud products in tandem with Alert Logic's managed security products.

Allegro Opthalmics Gets $2M From Leona Helmsley
San Juan Capistrano-based Allegro Opthalmics> said this morning that it has received a $2M grant from the The Leona M. and Harry B. Helmsley Charitable Trust. the company said the grant will help advance clinical studies of its compound for the treatment of diabetic macular edema. Diabetic Macular Edema (DME) is the leading cause of blindness in working age American diabetics, according to the company. uSamp Becomes Instantly
Los Angeles-based survey and sampling provider uSamp said this morning that it has renamed the company to Instantly. The company said the move is part of an effort to provide a single entity for its many tools, as well as help in continued growth. Instantly is led by Alan Gould. The company develops a sample service which connect researchers and marketers with consumers for consumer surveys, in addition to related tools.

MamaBear Names CEO
Santa Monica-based MamaBear, which develops a family communications and parenting app, said Monday that it has named Suzanne Horton as the company's new President and CEO. She previously served at Invitation homes (backed by Blackstone), was CEO of BeJane, and also served at JitterBug, Homebuilder.com, and at the venture arm of American Express. Cynvenio Ships Genomic Testing System
Los Angeles-based Cynvenio Biosystems said yesterday that it has shipped its LiquidBiopsy, genetic testing system for blood samples, with nationwide availability of the product. The company develops a platform which is aimed at doctors and cancer researchers, and performs next-generation sequencing (NGS) on the tumor cells in whole blood, aimed at helping in monitoring cancer and for cancer diagnostics.
