April Fool's Roundup: Hulu Pets, Parkme's Drone Assisted Parking
Did you miss the April Fool's pranks of local technology companies? Among the creative ideas for April Fool's this week was the "announcement" of a new channel on Hulu, Hulu Pets, featuring such titles as "Clawed City", "The Real Pugs of Portland", "The Bark" and "Bone Appetit". Santa Monica-based parking data and app developer ParkMe also announced the "world's 1st drone-assisted parking app" featuring a drone to find you a parking spot. Qualcomm Ventures Sweetens Pot In QPrize Competition
San Diego-based Qualcomm said Thursday that it is doubling the size of its QPrize annual investment funding competition, and will now award $250,000 in convertible note financing to regional winners, with an additional $250,000 to grand prize winners. The company--which runs the prize via its venture arm, Qualcomm Ventures--has been using the competition to identify companies across the globe who are developing product complementary to its products, with specific efforts in Australia, China, Eur (More info...)

RVM Opens Los Angeles Office
RVM Enterprises, a provider of ediscovery services and data hosting, said Thursday that it has opened up a new, Los Angeles office. The company is headquartered in New York and also has offices in Chicago and Cleveland. The company serves law firms with its e-discovery services.
