Mojix Finds $14M More For RFID TechnologyLos Angeles-based Mojix, a developer of long range, RFID-based sensor network technology, said this morning that it has raised $14M in a Series D financing round. The funding was led by OMERS Ventures, and also included Mercury Ventures, plus Oak Investment Partners and the company's other prior investors. MakerSquare Opens Coding School In LAMakerSquare, which operates coding camps and classes to help students get software jobs, is setting up a new location in Los Angeles, according to the Hack Reactor collective. The two said that MakerSquare will launch its first class on June 29th. Snapchat Reports Hundreds Of Subpoenas, No National Security RequestsVenice-based instant messaging service Snapchat released its first transparency report, detailing all of the legal and government demands for information from its systems, showing that the company fielded more then 375 U.S. criminal legal requests for information--via subpoenas, court orders, search warrants, and emergency orders--from November of 2014 until February of this year.
