Rubicon Project Completes Chango Acquisition
Los Angeles-based online advertising technology developer Rubicon Project said Monday that it has completed its acquisition of Chango, which develops intent marketing technology. Rubicon had announced the acquisition on April 1st. The deal was worth $122M. Chango was based in Toronto, Canada.

Autobytel Names EVP
Irvine-based Autobytel said Monday that it has named William Ferriolo as the company's new Executive Vice President, Consumer Acquisition. Ferriolo has been at Autobytel since 2010, when he became Vice President of the company's Cyber Ventures Division, shortly after Autobytel acquired Cyber Ventures Inc. and Autropolis Inc. He had been a co-founder at Cyber. Ferriolo has also served at Dimmitt Automotive Group and Carlisle Automotive Group.

Predixion Software Snags Series D
Aliso Viejo-based Predixion Software announced this morning that it has raised a Series D funding round. Size of the round was not announced. The developer of cloud-based, predictive analytics software said the round was led by Software AG, and also included GE Software Ventures and the company's other financial and strategic investors. Predixion Software is led by Simon Arkell, and has previously also raised capital from Accenture, Frost Venture Partners, DFJ Frontier, EMC, Miramar Venture Part (More info...)

Ferris Finds $2M In Funding
Los Angeles-based video sharing startup Ferris has raised $2M in a seed financing round, led by Upfront Ventures, and also included Allen DeBevoise of Machinima. As part of the the funding, Mark Suster of Upfront Ventures joins the company's board. Ferris develops a mobile, iPhone app which lets users save and share videos they create ont heir phones, and links those videos together into "stories". The startup is led by Paul Bouadakis. Activision Sets Call of Duty: Black Ops III Release
Santa Monica-based game publisher Activision said this morning that it will be rolling out another Call of Duty sequel, Call of Duty: Black Ops III, on November 6th. Activision said that the new title will debut on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC platforms simultaneously. The new title is being developed by Treyarch. Quanticel Pharmaceuticals Acquired By Celgene
San Diego- and San Francisco-based Quanticel Pharmaceuticals has been acquired Celgene, in a deal worth $100M in cash plus up to $385M in earn out. Celgene said the deal gives it access to Quanticel's proprietary platform for the single-cell genomic analysis of human cancer, to help advance Celgene's pipeline of cancer therapies. Quanticel had been led by Steve Kaldor, and was venture backed by Versant Ventures.

aTyr Pharma Adds Board Member
San Diego-based aTyr Pharma said this morning that it has added a new member to its board. aTyr said it has added Mark Goldberg, M.D., who is currently Senior Advisor for Medical and Regulatory Strategy at Synageva BioPharmaca Corporation, to the position. He also had served at Genzyme, and has nearly 20 years of experience in the field. aTyr Pharma is focused on treatment of rare diseases, and is a spinout of the Scripps Research Institute.
