Invoca Plans IPO, Hires New CEO
In the latest, Central Coast IPO move, Santa Barbara-based Invoca, a maker of call marketing automation tools, says it is prepping for an IPO in 2017, and has hired a new CEO with experience running two pubicly traded software companies. Invoca said it has named Mark Woodard, who led E2open through its IPO, and was also CEO of Serena Software, as its new CEO. Woodward also served at Legent Corporation, Mcafee, and Oracle. Prevoty Launches New Products For Java, .NET
Los Angeles-based Prevoty, a developer of enterprise security tools, said Thursday that it has rolled out two new products, which plug into apps running on Java and .NET. Prevoty, which is venture backed by US Venture Partners, Plus Capital, MM Capital, Paige Craig, and others, developers cross-site scripting security tools to prevent security breaches in web apps. iRise Partners With Tasktop
El Segundo-based iRise, which develops a tool used for visual prototyping of enterprise software applications, has tied with open source software developer Tasktop, the two said this week. Tasktop develops the Eclipse Mylyn open source tool, and also develops software lifecycle management software for the Agile market. Financial details of the OEM partnership were not announced.
