Scopely Launches Mobile Game For The Walking Dead
Los Angeles-based mobile game developer Scopely is launching a new mobile game based on The Walking Dead. According to Scopely, it has partnered with Robert Kirkman and Skybound, the creators of The Walking Dead series, on a new mobile game, The Walking Dead: Road to Survival. The free-to-play game is available for both iOS and Android. Scopely said it worked with game studio IUGO Mobile Entertainment, the creator of Knights & Dragons, on the new title.

Cornerstone OnDemand Invests In Four Companies
Santa Monica-based Cornerstone OnDemand, the developer of cloud-based, talent management software, said this morning that it has made investments in four companies, from the Cornerstone Innovation Fund. The investments went to One Month, which offers online entrepreneurship classes; Rallyteam, an employee talent networking platform; Strive, which is developing tools to help source qualified software developers; and Workpop, a developer of software to help match employers and job candidates. TeleSign Links With Telefonica To Reduce Payment Fraud
Los Angeles-based two-factor authentication and mobile identity services provider TeleSign said today that it has inked an agreement with Telefonica, which will help address account security and fraud prevention for enterprises and service providers in financial services, e-commerce, cloud and social media. GumGum Launches New Social Media Analysis Tool
Santa Monica-based GumGum, the developer of digital advertising and marketing tools which tie advertising into online photographs and visual content, has rolled out a new social media analysis tool. MB TRADING Acquired By TradeKing
El Segundo-based MB TRADING, a provider of stocks, futures, options, and other trading tools and services, has been acquired in an asset deal by Florida-based TradeKing. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. According to TradeKing Group, it will acquire all of MB Trading's assets, as part of an effort to build a diversified financial services firm. The company said that it will continue to operate an office in El Segundo.

Snapchat Names SVP Finance
Los Angeles-based Snapchat has hired Drew Vollero as SVP of Finance, and acting Chief Financial Officer, the company said this week. Vollero was former at Mattell, and also has served at Taco Bell, Yum! Brands, and ZS Associates. Vollero was most recently SVP Corporate Strategy, Development, and Investor Relations at Mattel, where he had been for 15 years; he lives in Orange County.
