TenOnTen Ventures Gets $13.18M In New Venture Fund
Los Angeles-based TenOnTen Ventures, the venture capital investor founded by David Waxman and Gil Elbaz, has found $13.18M in commitments for a new venture fund, from 21 different investors, according to a regulatory filing by the fund. Details on the new fund--which is still in the midst of fundraising--have not yet been announced by the investment firm. Jemae Finds $1.3M For Fashion Startup
Los Angeles-based Jemae, a fashion startup which offers up designer products which help benefit humanitarian projects, said Wednesday that it has raised $1.3M in a seed funding round. The funding came from strategic investors JS Apparel, Inc. and Katmandu, Inc. Surf Air Expecting 12th Aircraft
Los Angeles-based Surf Air, which operates a membership-based, all-you-can-fly air service between Los Angeles, Silicon Valley, and a number of other regional destinations popular with technology and venture capital executives, is telling its prospective customers that it is set to receive its twelfth Pilatus PC-12 aircraft in the next day or so. Western Digital Gets Massive, $3.775 Billion Equity Injection From Chinese Firm
Irvine-based disk drive and storage maker Western Digital Corporation has received a massive, $3.775 billion equity investment from Chinese company Unisplendour Corporation Limited, which will give Unisplendour a 15 percent stake in the company. According to Western Digital, Unispendour (Unis) will purchase newly issued Western Digital common stock at a price of $92.50 per share for the stake. Los Angeles-based Evolve Media said today that it is relaunching its flagship site, CraveOnline.com, with a complete design overhaul and a "significant shift" in editorial direction. Evolve Media said its relaunched site is aimed at 25-34 year old males, and now includes specific content channels for culture, art, design, and style. Evolve Media said the site is now being anged by Executive Editor Andrew Pogany, who was previously Editor-in-Chief of Flaunt Magazine.

Riverside County In Major 12MW Solar Power Project
The County of Riverside has turned on the first stage of a massive, 12MW solar power conversion project, which its installer says is the largest, countywide conversion to solar in the U.S. The massive installation of solar power is expected to help save the county around $200 million over the next 30 years in energy costs.
