Venice, California-based SaneBox, the developer of email tools to help users better manage the flood of emails in their inbox, has rolled out a new product it says can help better figure out who in your company can make a warm intro to potential customers and partners. PatientSafe Solutions Buys Vree Health
San Diego-based PatientSafe Solutions, a developer of healthcare and patient coordination ssoftware, said Wednesday that it has acquired all of the assets of Vree Health. Vree Health was a wholly owned subsidiary of Merck. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. According to PatientSafe, the acquisition will help expand its existing offerings. PatientSafe Solutions is led by Joe Condurso. Both companies develop software used to manage patient care in the healthcare industry.

Activision Blizzard Launches New Esports Division, Taps Former ESPN CEO
Santa Monica-based videogame publisher Activision Blizzard announced this morning that it has launched a brand new, Esports division, which will focus on competitive gaming and growth of esports. As part of the new division, Activision said it has named Steve Bornstein, the former CEO of ESPN and the NFL Network, as Chairman of the division, and name Major League Gaming (MLG) co-fouunder and president Mike Sepso as Senior Vice President. Instantly Upgrades Offering
Los Angeles-based Instantly, the provider of market research and sampling tools, said it has upgraded its offerings, adding a number of key updates to its tools. According to Instantly, it is now offering up unrestricted access to its Instantly Automated Sample tool, which lets businesses target specific consumer for their research. Amgen Foundation Commits $4M More For Biotech Labs In Schools
Thousand Oaks-based Amgen, via its nonprofit arm, The Amgen Foundation, said Wednesday that it will spend more than $4M to help bring hands on biotechnology labs to schools. Amgen said it the funds will supports its existing program, the Amgen Biotech Experience, which brings labs to schools across the United States, Puerto Rico, United Kingdom and Ireland.
