SunBrite TV Acquired By SnapAV
Thousand Oaks-based SunBrite TV, a manufacturer of large screen, HDTV screens specifically designed to be installed outdoors, next to pools, on patios, and elsewhere, has been acquired by SnapAV, which is owned by private equity investor General Atlantic. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. SunBrite TV's displays are used both in residential and commercial installations. SunBriteTV was backed by Bunker Hill Capital. Clutter Raises $9M From Sequoia For On Demand Self Storage
Los Angeles-based Clutter, an on-demand, self-storage startup which helps consumers store and organize their belongings, has raised $9M in a Series A funding. The funding came from Sequoia Capital. As part of the funding, Omar Hamoui of Sequoia has joined the company's board. According to Clutter, ,it will use the new funding to aggressively expand its sales and marketing, broaden product development and help it expand in cities and regions throughout the U.S. Clutter said it has now raised $12. Hulu To Stream James Bond Movies, More
Los Angeles-based streaming video site Hulu is getting set to start streaming nearly every episode of the classic James Bond, 007 films, starting on November 1st, the company said this week. Prevoty Opens New HQ In Silicon Valley
Los Angeles-based application security monitoring software developer Prevoty said this week that it has expanded into Silicon Valley, and has opened up a new office in Menlo Park which will serve as its headquarters. RealtyMogul Names VP Residential Finance
Los Angeles-based online real estate marketplace RealtyMogul.com said Thursday that it has promoted Amy Wu to the position of Vice President of Residential Finance, and also put Wu in charge of its team in Irvine. Sonos Adds Amazon Prime Music Support
Santa Barbara-based whole home, streaming music system maker Sonos has added support for Amazon Prime Music to its systems, letting users stream songs from Amazon's music service through its systems. Sonos said the company's products now also support Prime Stations, Amazon's theme-based music stations, and can also play from curated Prime Playlists. The new service is available as a beta to users in the US.
