Internet Brands Acquires Demandforce
Los Angeles-based Internet Brands said Friday that it has acquired Demandforce, a developer of marketing software and services. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Internet Brands acquired Demandforce from Intuit, which had acquired Demandforce back in 2012. Internet Brands says that Demandforce will become part of its Health portfolio.

SpaceX Successfully Launches Jason-3 Mission, But Sees Sea Landing Failure
Hawthorne-based SpaceX, the commercial rocket launch company led by Elon Musk, saw a successful launch on Sunday of the Jason-3 mission for the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), however, the company's attempt to land its reusable rocket on a floating "droneship" was less successful, when that rocket tipped over after landing--and exploded in rather spectacular fashion. Qualcomm In Chinese Joint Venture
San Diego-based Qualcomm and the People's Government of Guizhou Province are in a joint venture, focused on the design and sales of server chipsets in China, the two said on Sunday. According to the two, the joint venture is worth approximately $280M, and will be 55 percent owned by the Guizhou provincial government, and 45 percent owned by a subsidiary of Qualcomm. RFaxis Rolls Out New RF Chips
Irvine-based semiconductor developer RFaxis said this weekend that it has unveiled a new family of RF, front end integrated circuits aimed at the Internet-of-Things and machine to machine (M2M) market. According to RFaxis, it has rolled out its family of sub-miniature, GhZ RF front end chips for use in the 700/800/900MHz spectrum for high power Industrial, Scientific, Medical (ISM) frequency band applications.
