Cargigi Acquired By eBay
Irvine-based Cargigi, a provider of online marketing and advertising services for automotive dealerships, has been acquired by eBay, the two said Tuesday afternoon. Financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed. Cargigi becomes part of eBay Motors, where eBay will use Cargigi's technology to help move dealers' inventory onto eBay. According to eBay, Cargigi will replace its existing Dealer Center, which helps dealers with the vehicle selling process.

Comparably Contrasts Pay Satisfaction Between Women and Men
Santa Monica-based Comparably, the new pay and compensation comparison startup let by startup veteran Jason Nazar, has run the numbers over gender satisfaction at work, and finds that about as many women as men are happy about their pay--except in certain, specific work areas--but sharply differ in their satisfaction with their percentage of equity in the companies they work for. Three Day Rule Adds $1.2M For Matchmaking Service
Santa Monica-based Three Day Rule, the personal matchmaking startup led by Talia Goldstein, has raised $1.2M more in funding, the company disclosed on Tuesday. The $650,000 of thefunding came from the Dallas Angels Network, with the rest coming from other angels. Three Day Rule uses both human matchmakers, and software, to help match people with potential mates. Tinder Buys Humin
Los Angeles-based dating app developer Tinder says it has acquired Humin, a San Francisco-based developer of contact management software. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. Tinder said that it has hired Humin co-founder Ankur Jain as VP of Product, and fellow co-founder David Wyler as VP of Partnerships, to lead an "exciting new product initiative." Broadcom Sues SpaceX Over Engineering Hires
Irvine-based Broadcom has sued Hawthorne-based SpaceX, saying that SpaceX has been raiding the company for key engineers, and stealing its proprietary technology. In a lawsuit filed last week, Broadcom named both SpaceX and five engineers, who it says violated confidentiality agreements they had signed, saying that they took knowledge gained through a project that Broadcom helped SpaceX with last year.

Figtree Financing Finds $30M For Energy Funding
San Diego-based Figtree Financing, provider of clean energy project (PACE) financing, has raised $30M in a Series A funding round, according to the company. The funding came from an un-named institutional investor. Figtree Funding, which is led by Mahesh Shah, provides long term financing for solar panels, energy efficient lighting, cool roofing, and other energy saving projects, which are paid back through property tax payments. Memorang Gets $500K For Flash Card Study Tool
Los Angeles-based Memorang, the developer of a flash-card based, study tool to help people study for such things as the MCAT, GRE, NBME, and a host of other tests, has raised $500,000 in a funding round, the company is announcing this morning. The funding came from angel investor Michael Kane (SoFi), and Tom Palecek (Summit Trail Advisors). Connectifier Swizzles Service After LinkedIn Acquisition
Costa Mesa-based Connectifier, the recruiting tools developer led by John Jersin, said Monday that it will be making some significant changes to its tool, after its acquisition by LinkedIn in February. Jacobs Wins NASA White Sands Test Facility
Pasadena-based Jacobs Engineering Group said late Monday that it has been awarded a $400M contract at the NASA White Sands Test Facility, near Las Cruces, New Mexico. Jacobs said it was awarded the Test Evaluation and Support Team 2 (TEST2) contract, where it will provide support for current and future NASA programs for space transportation and human space flight, along with other programs. Cornerstone OnDemand Wins Spanish Hotel Group
Santa Monica-based talent management software developer Cornerstone OnDemand reported a win this morning with the Palladium Hotel Group, which the company says is the seventh largest Spanish hotel consortium in the world. Yardi Signs Up Real Estate Fund Management Firm
Santa Barbara-based real estate software management developer Yardi said this morning that it has signed up real estate professional services firm CliftonLarsonAllen as a customer. According to Yardi, CliftonLarsonAllen will provide its real estate fund administration services for its private equity real estate clients, using its software.
