Cylance Joins The Unicorn Club
Irvine-based Cylance, the cybersecurity software developer which just announced a $100M funding round this week, appears to have joined the rare club of Southern California "unicorns", with that funding round being valued at more than $1 billion, according to several reports. Zadara Rolls Out New Enterprise Cloud Storage Offering
Irvine-based Zadara Storage, which develops enterprise storage-as-a-service hardware, software, and services, said this week that it has launched a new product called the Zadara Cube. According to the company, the new product is based on its existing VPSA Storage Array technology, and connects customers into Amazon Web Services. Digital Domain Holdings Buys Digital Funk Machine For New VR Game Studio
Playa Vista-based Digital Domain Holdings, which is the parent company of visual effects company Digital Domain, said on Thursday that it has acquired videogame developer Digital Funk Machine, and created a new division called Digital Domain Interactive. EnGenius Rolls Out New MU-MIMO Wireless Access Point
Costa Mesa-based EnGenius Technologies, the developer of wireless networking products, said this week that it has rolled out a new, outdoor Mu-MIMO access point. EnGenius said its ENS620EXT Outdoor 11ac Wave 2 AC1300 Access Point supports the dual band 802.11ac Wave 2 standard, with multiple-user and multiple input, multiple output support for better user capacity, and is designed for outdoor installation.
