Hulu VR Adds Oculus Rift Support
Los Angeles-based streaming television site Hulu has added support for the Oculus Rift, the company said today, and also rolled out a new virtual reality space based on the Syfy title 12 Monkeys. Hulu said it now has more than 30 pieces of original, virtual reality content available on its virtual reality app, which launched earlier this year. Yardi Buys Proliphix
Santa Barbara-based property management software developer Yardi has acquired Proliphix, a Massachusetts-based developer of energy management hardware and software, according to the company. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Proliphex is a developer if Internet Protocol (IP) enabled thermostats, along with associated remote management software, used for controlling heating, ventilation, and air condition systems for large enterprises. Activision Plans Crash Bandicoot Reboot
Santa Monica-based Activision said late Monday evening that it is planning to bring back its popular Crash Bandicoot character, through both an incorporation of the character into its Skylanders Imaginators game, as well as a "remaster" of three, Crash Bandicoot games for Playstation 4. Chrome River Expands In Asia Pacific
Los Angeles-based expense and invoice management software developer Chrome River says it has launched operations in the Asia Pacific, and set up a new company based in Sydney, Australia. The company said that Chrome River PTY LTD will provide dedicated support and implementation services to its customers in the region, and also add new customers. Western Digital, CTERA Link On Object Storage Offering
Irvine-based storage giant Western Digital and data archiving software provider CTERA said today that they have teamed up on a new, object storage solution, which combines data archiving systems from WD's HGST unit, with CTERA's software. The companies said they are providing a joint solution aimed at the enterprise and service provider market. Financial details of the link were not anonunced.
