Vyclone Shuts Down Collaborative Video App
Los Angeles-based Vyclone, which had developed a mobile app which let multiple users contribute videos from the same event into a single stream, has shut down. The company's website said that it will shut off its app as of July 22nd, and will be removing its app from the App Store and closing down it servers. Vyclone had hoped to inspire people to collaborate on capturing such life events as weddings and festivals, as well as expreme sports and music performances. Snapchat Sued Over Obscene Snapchat Discover Links
Venice-based Snapchat has been sued in a class action lawsuit, over what the lawsuit says are obscene news stories published via Snapchat Discover. The lawsuit--filed on behalf of a 14-year old, Los Angeles minor, was filed by Geragos & Geragos in the United State District Court for the Central District of California. The lawsuit alleges "willful and intentional violations" of the Communications Decency Act by Snapchat in linking to media partners such as Buzzfeed, Vice, and MTV.

Washe Expands On-Demand Mobile Carwash Service To Los Angeles, San Diego
Do you need your car washed, but just don't have the time? Another, on-demand car washing app--Washe, says it has started offering up on-demand, car washes to Southern California drivers. Washe said it has begun offering up support to users between Los Angeles and San Diego, connecting drivers to a network of mobile car washers. Western Digital Shuffles CFO
Irvine-based Western Digital said late Thursday that it is shuffling its CFO, with current CFO Olivier Leonetti leaving the company, and Mark Long taking over as Executive Vice President, Finance. Western Digital said the move comes as a result of its integration of HGST and WD subsidiaries. Leonetti will continue to serve as CFO until September 1st.
