Comparably Opens Up Salary Data
Santa Monica-based Comparably, the salary comparison and pay startup led by startup veteran Jason Nazar, has launched a new product, which lets CEOs and other executives access its full data set of salary and equity data. Comparably said its new tool is free, and provides over 100,000 vetted, compensation records for tech employees. EcoATM Parent Outerwall Acquired By Private Equity Investor
Outerwall, the parent company of San Diego's EcoATM, has agreed to a private equity buyout by Apollo Global Management, about five months after Outerwall launched an effort to find a buyer. EcdoATM is a San Diego company which operates cell phone recycling kiosks at malls and other locations across the nation, and had been the target of activist investors, unhappy with that unit's financial performance. MaxCDN Acquired By StackPath
Los Angeles-based content delivery network operator MaxCDN has been acquired by security-as-a-service startup StackPath, StackPath revealed today as part of a big launch. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. MaxCDN, led by Chris Ueland, said on Sunday that the company will help StackPath work on its secure, content delivery platform. Stackpath is based in Dallas, Texas.

ViaSat To Provide Broadband Internet To Air Force One
Carlsbad-based satellite broadband provider ViaSat has scored a high profile customer win, saying this morning that it will be providing in-flight Internet and connectivity services to Air Force One, along with other aircraft for senior leaders of the U.S. Government. RealD Wins Patent Infringement Lawsuit
Beverly Hills-based RealD, the developer of 3D movie projection technology, said Friday that it has won a patent infringement lawsuit against competitor MasterImage 3D. RealD said a Final Determination was issued by the U.S. International Trade Commission, which found that MasterImage 3D's systems infringe on its patents, and which ban infringing systems from MasterImage from entering or being sold in the United States.

Yardi Teams For Canadian Rental Payments
Santa Barbara-based property management software developer Yardi has linked up with a Canadian payment company, BluePay, to enable electronic rent payments in Canada. According to Yardi, the new collaboration with BluePay will allow its customers to accept credit card, debit card and PAD payments made by residents of multifamily and condominium units, as well as commercial property tenants. Kurion Deploys System At Sellafield
Irvine-based hazardous waste processing systems developer Kurion says it has deployed its GeoMelt system at the notorious Sellafield nuclear site in the UK. Kurion said its system--which turns nuclear waste into compact, encased glass like beads, which can more easily be stored and transported--proceed its first commercial melt last week, treating corroded Magnox fuel sludge mixed with contaminated soil. The system is being installed for the UK Nuclear Decommissioning Authority (NDA).

NantHealth Links With University On Genetic Study
Culver City-based personalized healthcare developer NantHealth, which is led by biotech billionaire Patrick Soon-Shiong, said this morning that it has partnered with the University of Utah, to analyze genomic profiles of a large number of individuals, to help in disease identification.
