Trade Desk Files For IPO
Ventura-based Trade Desk has filed for an IPO, saying that it is looking to raised up to $86.25M on an IPO on the NASDAQ Global Market. The company says it has filed to trade as TTD. The advertising technology company is led by Jeff Green. The IPO is being underwritten by Citigroup, Jefferies, RBC Capital Markets, Needham & Company, and Raymond James. Veritone Finds $50M For AI Software
Newport Beach-based Veritone, which is developing artificial intelligence software used for sentiment analysis for media firms, political campaigns, corporations, and the government, said it has closed on a $50M funding agreement. The funding comes from Acacia Research. According to Veritone, the $50M in working capital includes an initial $20M convertible investment, and contingent investment of $30M based on milestones. Skybell Wins Smart Doorbell Deal With Reliant Energy
Irvine-based electronics developer Skybell, which develops a Wi-Fi connected, smart doorbell, has scored a big win with Reliant Energy, a provider of energy and home security services in Texas. Reliant said it will start offering up a smart, Wi-Fi Doorbell Camera to its customers, which lets users unlock and lock doors, record live video, two way audio, and more. Reliant's Wi-Fi doorbell is based on Skybell's current products. Financial impact of the win was not disclosed.

Singlera Genomics Raises $20M
La Jolla-based Singlera Genomics, a developer of non-invasive genetic testing technology, has raised $20M in a Series A funding, according to the company. The funding was led by Lilly Asia Ventures, and also included Green Pine Capital Partners, CDBI Partners, and others. RealtyMogul Names Two Executives
Los Angeles-based online real estate investing marketplace RealtyMogul.com says it has named two executive, naming Sameer Shamsuddin as Chief Technology Officer and Niall Weintraub as Vice President of Marketing. Shamsuddin was previously at GSI Commerce/eBay Enterprise, most recently as International CTO, and had spent 17 years at the company. Cubic Sets Chief Diversity Officer
San Diego-based Cubic Corporation says it has named Darryl Albertson as its new Chief Diversity Officer. Albertson has been at the company since September of 2013, serving as Vice President of Corporate Human Resources. CrowdStrike Sets VP
Irvine-based endpoint protection and security developer CrowdStrike said today that it has named Brian Brouillette as its Vice President of Customer Success. Brouillette was previously at Westell, and also served at Hewlett Packard (HP), Juniper, Ixia and NetOptics. CrowdStrike, which is led by security veteran George Kurtz, offers up an endpoint protection platform aimed at stopping breaches and responding to cyberattacks.

Cylance Names International President
Irvine-based cybersecurity technology developer Cylance said this morning that it has named Felix Marquardt as its new President of Cylance International, to head up its global expansion.
