Amgen Licenses Rights To Multiple Myeloma Drug
Thousand Oaks-based Amgen and Boehringer Ingelheim said on Thursday that Amgen has acquired the global development and commercial rights for an immuno-oncology drug for treating multiple myeloma. The two said Amgen acquired the rights from Boehringer Ingelheim for BI 836909 (AMG 420), a bispecific T cell engager (BiTE) that targets B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA), a potential target for multiple myeloma. Fandango Extends To ArcLight Cinemas
Los Angeles-based online and mobile movie ticketing provider Fandango announced today that it has expanded its coverage in Southern California, Chicago, and Washington, D.C., with a new relationship with theater chain ArcLight Cinemas. Terms of the agreement were not announced. SpaceX Rocket Explodes In Florida
A SpaceX Falcon 9 rocket has exploded on a launchpad at Cape Canaveral in Florida at 9am ET, during test firing of a mission that was set to launch on Saturday. According to SpaceX, the failure occurred during the launch static fire test, and resulted in the loss of both the vehicle and its payload. SpaceX said that there were no injuries in the accident. HERO Expands Clean Energy Financing Program In 40 More Cities
San Diego-based HERO, the operator of a home financing program specifically tied to clean energy improvements, and which ties into an owner's property tax bill to pay for upgrades, has expanded in 40 more California cities, the company said on Wednesday. ViaSat, Eutelsat In In-Flight Internet Deal In Europe
Carlsbad-based in-flight, satellite Internet provider ViaSat announced this morning that it has inked a deal with European satellite operator Eutelsat, where they will jointly provide services to the European airline carrier market. As part of the deal, ViaSat said that Finnair will equip its entire Airbus A320 fleet with ViaSat's high speed, wireless internet networking equipment, and EL AL Israel Airlines, which is currently in customer trials, expects to deploy its service by the end of 2016. Atom Tickets In US Expansion
Los Angeles-based mobile ticketing app developer Atom Tickets is in a big expansion across the U.S., saying that it has expanded across 40 new markets, including San Francisco, Seattle, Portland, Denver and Sacramento. According to Atom Tickets, the expansion covers more than 200 new theaters, from AMC Theatres, Regal Cinemas and Studio Movie Grill. The startup, led by Ameesh Paleja, lets users check showtimes, browse movie reviews, and coordinate buying movie tickets with friends.

Smith Micro Dodges Delisting, Regains NASDAQ Compliance
Aliso Viejo-based Smith Micro Software, which develops software for wireless servie providers and others, said it has regained compliance with listing requirements for the NASDAQ Stock Market. The company had been warned in September of 2015 about failure to meed the minimum bid price requirement for the NASDAQ Global Market, and since then has been working with the NASDAQ to remedy the issue.
