GoShare Raises $1M For On Demand Moving, Delivery App
San Diego-based GoShare, the developer of an on-demand, moving and delivery app, has raised $1M in a seed funding round, the company said on Friday. The company--which calls itself the "Uber for Trucks"--said the funding was led by race car driver and entrepreneur Claudio Burtin, and also included Dr. David Panton (Panton Equity Partners). Social Reality Names CFO
Los Angeles-based Social Reality, a provider of Internet advertising technology, announced on Thursday that it has named J.P. Hannan as the company's Chief Financial Officer. Hannan was previously VP, Treasurer, and CFO of radio station operator Cumulus Media. He also was CFO of Modern Luxury Media, and served at Lincoln Financial Media and Lambert Television. Illumina Boosts Public Gene Database
San Diego-based gene sequencing equipment maker Illumina said on Thursday that it has contributed 95,000 human genetic variants to a public database, CliniVar, which is run by the National Center for Biotechnology Information (NCBI). The company said the contribution will help the advancement and understanding of genomics in health and disease. The data was generated by Illumina's Clinical Services Laboratory.
