Report: Hyperloop One Looks For $250M More
Los Angeles-based transportation technology developer Hyperloop One is looking to raise up to $250M in funding, according to a report published on Wednesday. The report, from Fortune, cites a leaked document which has been circulating among potential investors and real estate investors.

Hixme Adds $14.1M In Funding
Agoura Hills-based Hixme, a startup developing group insurance products for large organizations, has raise $14.1M more in funding, the company announced this morning. The Series B funding was led by Propel Venture Partners, and also included Kleiner, Perkins, Caufield and Byers (KPCB), Transamerica Ventures and Rosemark Capital. Faraday Future Misses Payments To AECOM
Los Angeles-based Faraday Future, the mysterious electric automobile developer backed by a Chinese entrepreneur, has apparently missed a $21M payment to construction contractor AECOM, involving a deposit to cover materials and subcontractors. According to a report from AutoNews, a letter was sent by AECOM over the missed payment, which it says may put work on the company's $1 billion plant in Nevada to a "grinding halt". Embodied Gets Funding From Intel For Personal Robots
Pasadena-based Embodied, a new startup developer "affordable personal robots", has raised funding from Intel Capital. Size of the funding was not announced. Embodied was co-founded by Paolo Pirjanian, the former CTO of iRobot and Professor Maja Mataric, a researcher in robotics and neuroscience at the University of Southern California. AltheaDx Names CFO
San Diego-based AltheaDx, which is developing molecular diagnostics products for the personalized medicine market, said it has named Andrew Jackson as the company's new Chief Financial Officer. Jackson was previously Chief Financial Officer and Principal Accounting Officer of Celladon Corporation. Yardi Signs Customer In The UK
Santa Barbara-based property management software developer Yardi reported a win in the United Kingdom this morning, with boutique property and asset management company Rivenhall Real Estate Limited. The financial impact of the customer win was not announced. Yardi said Rivenhall is using ist Yardi Genesis2 cloud-based property management and accounting product.
