BlackLine Software Prices IPO
Woodland Hills-based BlackLine Software, the developer of accounting and financial close software, has priced its IPO, saying late Thursday evening that it will sell 8,600,000 shares of its common stock at $17.00 per share. BlackLine will start trading Friday morning on the NASDAQ Global Select Market as BL. BlackLine priced at the high range of an already increased estimated IPO range, which was set to $16.00 to $17.00 earlier this week. Sientra Swaps CFO
Santa Barbara-based medical aesthetics developer Sientra said on Thursday that it has named a new CFO. The company said that Patrick F. Williams has been named Chief Financial Officer, Senior Vice President, and Treasurer. Williams replaces Matthew Pigeon, who the company says is leaving to "pursue other opportunities". Williams has previously served as SVP and CFO of ZELTIQ, and previously served at NuVasive. Williams is also on the board of Miramar Labs.

Super League Gaming Adds $5M
Santa Monica-based Super League gaming, which lets video game fans compete against others on the big screen at movie theaters across the country, has raised $5M in a Series C funding, the company said this week. The funding came from Toba Capital and esports company aXiomatic. Super League takes over movie theaters, and allows game players to compete against each other for prizes. Qualcomm Acquiring NXP For $47 Billion
San Diego-based Qualcomm and NXP Semiconductors N.V. announced this morning that Qualcomm has agreed to buy NXP Semiconductors for $47 billion. The two said Qualcomm will pay $110.00 per share in cash for NXP, in a deal which has already been unanimously approved by the boards of both companies. NXP is a develops of mixed signal semiconductors. The two have been hasing out a deal since at least September. Vessel Acquired by Verizon, Will Shut Down
Vessel, the subscription video streaming service led by former Hulu CEO Jason Kilar and CTO Richard Tom, has been acquired by Verizon, Vessel said on Wednesday. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. As part of the acquisition, Vessel said it will be shutting down the Vessel service on October 31st. Global Eagle Entertainment, Intelsat In Satellite Access Deal
Marina Del Rey-based Global Eagle Entertainment, the provider of in-flight, broadband Internet services, has signed a deal with satellite network operator Intelsat S.A., the two said late Wednesday. The companies said they are in a new contract to use ten of Intelsat's satellites to provide Global Eagle with high-speed broadband connectivity. Financial details of the deal were not announced. HyperX Sponsors eSports Team Run By Boston Celtics' Jerebko
Fountain Valley-based HyperX, the division of memory maker Kingston Technology which focuses on the video game market, said it has linked up with Boston Celtics basketball player Jonas Jerebko. Jerebko runs the eSports team the Detroit Renegades. HyperX will sponsor Jerebko's eSports team. Financial terms of the sponsorship deal were not announced. Ingenu Deploys In Columbus, Ohio
San Diego-based Internet-of-Things networking technology developer Ingenu says it has deployed another machine-to-machine (M2M) network, this time in Columbus, Ohio. Ingenu said its network reaches nearly 500 square miles, serving a population of 1.1 million. Ingenu's network is aimed at the city's "smart city" efforts.
