Fandango Gobbles Up Cinepapaya
Los Angeles-based online ticketing and movie service Fandango continues to be in an acquisitive move, and has acquired Latin American online movie ticketer Cinepapaya. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. The acquisition follows an acquisition last year of Brazilian ticketing firm Ingresso.com. Fandango said the buy doubles its reach in Latin America. Joymode Set To Show Off Experiences At Pop Up Shop
Los Angeles-based Joymode, the new startup led by Joe Fernandez which is hoping to people to invest in experiences, not stuff, is hoping to show off its new service with a pop-up shop in Sunset Junction next week. Joymode says it will be opening up to the public next Wednesday, on December 7th, showing off all of the experiences offered up through the service. Olloclip To Open Pop-Up Shop, Gallery In LA Next Week
Huntington Beach-based Olloclip, which makes add-on lenses for the iPhone, is launching its own pop-up store and image gallery this holiday season, with a store in LA's Fairfax district. According to Olloclip, it will have a pop-up shop in LA, at the Seventh Letter Gallry on North Fairfax Ave, which will showcase photos taken with its lenses, as well as product demos and a shop. ClipCast Launches Multi View, Real Time Video Capture App
A new, San Diego startup, ClipCast, has launched a new mobile app which lets users capture multiple video views from different smartphones, from different angles. According to ClipCast, its new app, which runs on both iOS and Android, allows usres to produce multiple point-of-view video highlights, which can be captured, edited, and shared with others in real time. The new app is free. ClipCast is led by Manual Jaime, who serves as CEO and is founder of the company.

DTS Now Part Of Tessera
Calabasas-based surround sound and audio technology developer DTS is now officially part of Tessera, after Tessera completed its acquisition of DTS on Thursday, the companies said on Thursday afternoon. Tessera paid $850M in cash for DTS, in a deal which had originally been announced in May. Tessera said that it will introduce a new corporate name, stock ticker, brand, and logo during the first quarter of 2017 as a result of the acquisition.
