LogicMonitor Signs Quora, Ted Baker
Santa Barbara-based IT infrastructure monitoring software developer LogicMonitor said on Monday that it has signed up Quora and Ted Baker as customers. Financial impact of the customer wins were not announced. LogicMonitor develops IT infrastructure monitoring products, whether they are located at an enterprise site, in the cloud, or in a hybrid cloud environment. The company is backed by Providence Equity Partners.

Atom Tickets Adds Spielberg, J.J. Abrams, Tyler Perry To Advisory Board
Santa Monica-based mobile movie ticketing app developer Atom Tickets announced today that it has added Steven Spielberg, J.J. Abrams, and Tyler Perry to a brand new, advisory board for the company. The company said the three--along with members to be added later--will serve as a resource to the comapny to bring theatrical movie experiences to consumers. Atom's co-founder and Executive Chairman is Matthew Bakal, and its co-founder and CEO is Ameesh Paleja.

David Sacks Eyes Trump Transition Team
Technology investor and former Southern California tech CEO David Sacks, most recently CEO of Zenefits, is apparently considering a position on the Trump transition team, according to reports over the weekend. It's unclear what role Sacks would have in the new administration; however, he has very close ties to fellow PayPal alumni Peter Thiel. CytRx Names New Board Member
Los Angeles-based CytRx, a biopharmaceuticals firm focused on oncology, said it has named Earl Warren Brien, M.D., to its board of directors. Brien is a sarcoma surgeon, industry consultant, and private healthcare investor. He also is Professor of Orthopedic Surgery and Surgical Director of the Sarcoma Service at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles, California.

MabVax Extends Clinical Trials
San Diego-based MabVax Therapeutics, which develops oncology drugs, said it is expanding a Phase I clinical trial for patients with pancreatic cancer. The company said it has started including patients at HonorHealth Research Insitute, in Scottsdale, Arizona in its studies, joining Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center site in New York, and the Sarah Cannon Research Institute sites in Nashville, Tennessee and, Sarasota, Florida.
