8i Gets $27M For Photorealistic, Augmented Reality Humans
Los Angeles- and New Zealand-based 8i, which has created technology which captures humans and creates photo-realistic, 3-D "holograms" which people can interact with in augmented reality from any angle, has raised $27M in a funding round, the company said on Monday. ProSites Buys PracticeMojo
Temecula, California-based ProSites, which develops websites for dental and medical practices, has acquired Phoenix, Arizona-based PracticeMojo, the two said last week. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. ProSites says it offers up custom website design, search engine marketing, social media management, and pay-per-click services to over 14,000 dental, medical, and professional practices; the firm is led by Dr. Curt Hamann, and will remain headquartered in Temecula.

Pharaoh Information Systems Acquired by Hyphen Solutions
Irvine-based Pharaoh Information Services, a developer of residential construction-related software, has been acquired by Hyphen Solutions, a developer of cloud-based construction management software. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. Sonos Boosts UK Pricing By 25 Percent Due To Brexit
Santa Barbara-based whole home music system developer Sonos is boosting its prices in the United Kingdom by 25 percent, due to "a significant change on the US Dollar to GBP exchange rate." the company said over the weekend. The company said that, starting on February 23rd, it will be boosting its prices in the UK, because its existing pricing has "become unsustainable". The drop in the pound has come as a result of currency rate changes due to Brexit.

OpenX Wins Publishers Clearing House
Los Angeles-based programmatic advertising marketplace operator OpenX has signed on Publishers Clearing House (PCH) as a customer, the company reported this morning. According to OpenX, Publishers Clearing House has implemented its OpenX Bidder and private marketplace products. Financial impact of the deal was not announced. Qualcomm Announces 802.11ax Chipsets
San Diego-based wireless technology developer Qualcomm announced a set of new, systems-on-a-chip solutions for the 802.11ax protocol this morning, which the company says provides "end-to-end" solutions for the new protocol. CrowdStrike Adds Endpoint Machine Learning Features
Irvine-based cybersecurity software developer CrowdStrike says it has added machine learning capabilities to its endpoint protection products, to help provide protection against malware and "malware-free" attacks. Ixia Links With RSA Threat Detection Product
Calabasas-based networking testing software and equipment developer Ixia has tied its Vision One "network product broker" product to the RSA NetWitness dvanced threat detection and response tool, the company said today.
