Aurora Capital Group Sells Market Track To Vista Equity
Los Angeles-based private equity investor Aurora Capital Group has sold Chicago-based Market Track, a provider of advertising, e-commerce, brand protection, and other information to retailers, brands, manufacturers, and others, to private equity buyer Vista Equity Partners. Financial terms of the sale were not announced. Aurora Capital acquired Market Track five years ago.

Coachella Pickpocket Thwarted By Find My Phone
A pickpocket, who stole more than a hundred cell phones on Friday at Coachella, was thwarted by the "Find My Phone" feature, and quickly apprehended by Indio police. Apparently, Reinaldo De Jesus Henao, 36, from New York, allegedly had a backpack with over 100 cell phones, and had been wandering around Coachella stealing people's devices. Silicon Beach Software's Dark Castle Revived Online
Dark Castle, the popular 1980's video game for the Macintosh developed by San Diego's Silicon Beach Software, has been revived--this time, on the web--as part of a trove of throwback Apple Mac software products released by the Internet Archive. Users who miss the enthralling, black-and-white adventures of hero Duncan in battling the Black Knight can now play the entire game in their web browser. European VR Firm RE'FLEKT Opens Offices In Playa Vista
RE'FLEKT, a European virtual reality (VR) application designer which says its client list includes Audi, BMW, Bosch, Eon, Hyperloop Transportation Technologies, Hyundai, and Porsche, says it has just opened up a new office in Playa Vista. According to RE'FLEKT, the company's new office will serve the region's "world-famous" creative, tech, and studio communities. Xencor Names New Board Member
Monrovia-based biopharmaceuticals developer Xencor announced this morning that it has named Kevin Gorman, ph.D., to its board of directors. Gorman is the CEO of Neurocrine Biosciences, where he has been since 1993; he previously was an investor at Avalon Medical Partners, L.P. Gorman replaces director Robert Baltera, Jr., who the company said will not stand for re-election to its board.

NantOmics Buys Genos
Culver City-based NantOmics, which is developing molecular diagnostics technology, said last week that it has acquired Genos, a developer of next-generation sequencing, personal genetic discovery and research. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. Resonant Trumpets New Patent Wins
Goleta-based Resonant, which develops technology used for radio frequency (RF) filtering, says that it has just surpassed 125 issued and pending patents covering its technology. The company aid the two latest patents, issued on March 28th, were US Patent No.: 9,608,595, "Acoustic wave filters with enhanced rejection" and US Patent No.: 9,607,119, "Simulating effect of temperature on acoustic wave filters". Resonant is led by CEO George B. Homes.
