Platinum Equity Buys American Traffic Solutions
Los Angeles-based private equity investor Platinum Equity has acquired American Traffic Solutions, a provider of road safety, red light, and traffic violation cameras, according to the two companies. Financial details of the acquisition were not announced. ATS, which is based in Arizona, says it has more than 3,500 school bus stop arm, red-light and speed safety cameras installed.

ServiceTitan, The Seal In Partnership
Glendale-based ServiceTitan, a developer of enterprise software for the residential HVAC, plumbing and electrical service market, and background check and reputation management firm The Seal said today that they are in a new partnership. NextGen Healthcare Completes Entrada Buy
Irvine-based NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, which is a subsidiary of Quality Systems, says it has completed its acquisition of Entrada, a Nashville-based developer of mobile, cloud-based software. Entrada develops mobile software used by health clinics for electronic health records management. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed.

GE, Southern California Edison Deploy First Battery, Gas Turbine Hybrid
GE and Southern California Edison (SCE) said this morning that the two companies have deployed the world's first battery-gas turbine hybrid system in Norwalk, as a part of Southern California Edison's renewable energy efforts. Guidance Software, Lastline In Partnership
Pasadena-based Guideance Software, which develops computer forensics software, and malware detection provider Lastline announced this morning that the two are in a partnership and integration deal. The two said they have integrated EnCase Endpoint Security with Lastline Enterprise, which automates the response to detect, triage, and respond to threats.
