GameMine Gets $20M
Los Angeles-based GameMine, a developer of casual, mobile games, disclosed Tuesday morning that it has raised $20M in a Series A funding round. The funding was led by Palisades Venture Capital. GameMine, led by CEO Daniel Starr, offers up a library of casual, mobile games, accessible via subscription.

Real Office Centers In Santa Monica To Shut Down
Real Office Centers, the co-working space in Santa Monica--and one of the center of Silicon Beach's technology industry--has lost its lease, and will be shutting down, after a legal battle with landlord Hudson Pacific Properties. According to the LA Times, the lawsuit stemmed from "misuse" of the ROC's terrace, which had frequently been used by local organizations for parties, get togethers, conferences, and other events. Report: Snap Acquires Drone Maker Ctrl Me Robotics
Venice, California-based Snap, the parent company of Snapchat, recently acquired neighboring Venice-based drone technology developer Ctrl Me Robotics, according to reports over the weekend. The deal was reportely worth less than $1M. Ctrl Me Robotics was founded by Simon Saito Nielsen.

Arcturus Therapeutics Gets $3M From Cystic Fibrosis Foundation
San Diego-based Arcturus Therapeutics, a developer of mRNA-based treatments for disease, has signed a deal to receive up to $3M in funding from the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation Therapeutics, a nonprofit which supports drug discovery and development. The company said the $3M will go to advance LUNAR-CF, a novel messenger RNA (mRNA) therapeutic formulated with Arcturus' drug delivery technology. Microsemi Connects To Amazon Alexa
Aliso Viejo-based semiconductor developer Microsemi has connected its hardware to Amazon's Alexa voice recognition service, with a new product, the company announced this morning. Masimo Gets FDA Clearance On Pediatric Product
Irvine-based medical device maker Masimo announced this morning that it has received FDA 510(k) clearance on its O3 Regional Oximetry sensor for pediatric patients. Masimo's product is used to measure the amount of oxygen in the brain, and uses near-infrared spectroscopy (NIRS) to continuously monitor absolute and trended regional tissue oxygen saturation (rSO2) in the cerebral region.
