Vetted Finds $3.47M For In-Home, On-Demand Pet Care In LA
Venice, California-based Vetted, a new startup offering up on-demand, veterinary services at your home, has raised $3.47M in seed funding, the company disclosed this week. The funding came from Foundation Capital, Amplify LA, Sterling.VC, and ReImagined Ventures. The company--which is currently headquartered at Amplify LA--currently only offers up its services in Los Angeles. Elon Musk: Just 100 Miles x 100 Miles Of Solar Panels Would Power US
Wondering how much solar panel would allow the United States to raise all of the energy it needs, without fossil fuels? Elon Musk says only a 100 mile by 100 mile corner of the nation--supported by a 1 mile by 1 mile battery bank--could power all of the power needs for all of the nation. GC VR Gaming Tracker Fund Raises $15.6M For VR, AR, E-Sports Investments
It's been a record year for new venture funds in the Los Angeles area, and the growth in funds continued this morning, with the announcement of Los Angeles-based GC VR Gaming Tracker Fund LP, led by Greycroft Venture Partner Jon Goldman. Goldman announced on Tuesday morning that the fund will make investments in VR, AR, video games and e-sports, and has already made more than 20 investments. Counter Logic Gaming Acquired By Madison Square Garden
Arcadia-based eSports company Counter Logic Gaming has been acquired by Madison Square Garden Company, the two said on Monday. Financial terms of the acquisition were not announced. According to the companies, The Madison Square Garden Company acquired the controlling stake in Counter Logic Gaming, which was founded by George Georgallidis. NextGen Healthcare Buys EagleDream Health
Irvine-based NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, which is a subsidiary of Quality Systems, said today that it is acquiring EagleDream Health, a developer of cloud-based analytics software for the healthcare industry. According to NextGen, it will pay approximately $26M in cash for EagleDream Health. NextGen said EagleDream's cloud-based analytics software uses clinical, financial and administrative data to optimize practice performance. SUNRx Buys eAudit Solutions
San Diego-based SUNRx, a provider of contract pharmacy administration services, said this morning that it has acquired eAudit Solutions, a provider of audit services for the 340B Drug Discount Program. Financial terms of the buy were not disclosed. SUNRx said the acquisition will help create an end-to-end solution providing 340B contract pharmacy management to hospitals. NantHealth Gets Contract Extension
Culver City-based NantHealth, the provider of personalized medicine technology led by Dr. Patrick Soon-Shiong, said today that it has received a three-year contract extension with Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Nebraska (BCBSNE). Financial details of the contract extension were not announced. BCBSNE has been a client of NantHealth since 2010, and is using its NaviNet Open Document Exchange product.

Yardi Wins Property Management Firm
Santa Barbara-based property management software developer Yardi said on Monday that it has signed up a new customer, commercial property management firm Brookfield Properties, as a customer. Size ofthe customer win was not announced. Brookfield manages more than 250 properties, encompassing 130 million square feet across the US.
