Nexsan Ups Storage Capacity
Thousand Oaks-based Nexsan Technologies, a developer of disk storage arrays based on low cost Serial ATA (SATA) controllers, upped the capacity of its storage arrays this week, saying that it has tapped new one terabyte hard drives from Hitachi Global Storage Technologies for its product line. Nexsan said that it will incorporate the new 1 TB drives in its SATABeast, SATABoy, and SATABlade products, which will push the highest capacity of its products to 42TB on its SATABeast array, and corresponding increases on its other products. Nexsan's storage products are used for archiving, primary storage, disk-based backup, and other data storage uses.
