NextGen Healthcare Buys EagleDream Health

Irvine-based NextGen Healthcare Information Systems, which is a subsidiary of Quality Systems, said today that it is acquiring EagleDream Health, a developer of cloud-based analytics software for the healthcare industry. According to NextGen, it will pay approximately $26M in cash for EagleDream Health. NextGen said EagleDream's cloud-based analytics software uses clinical, financial and administrative data to optimize practice performance. The acquisition is the second for NextGen this year; it acquired mobile cloud software developer Entrada earlier in the year. NextGen Healthcare is led by President and CEO Rusty Frantz.
