    NextWave Wireless Links With Partners

San Diego-based NextWave Wireless said earlier this week that it has inked a set of partnerships with companies in the WiMAX industry. NextWave, which is focused on developing technology for the handset and mobile market, said that it has inked partnerships with Qtopia, EB, Opera Software ASA, HelloSoft, MontaVista Software, and Texas Instruments. The parts will work with NextWave on handset reference designs. Qtopia is a developer of user interfaces for Linux; EB is a device integrator; Opera Software develops web browsers; HelloSoft provides VoIP technology for WiMax chips; MontaVista is a Linux embedded OS provider; and Texas Instruments provides processors for the mobile market.
