    Nik Software Signs Deal, Gets Investment From Nikon


    San Diego-based Nik Software, a developer of photo editing software, today said that it has signed an agreement with Nikon to jointly develop and distribute its digital photography software. Nik said that as part of the agreement, Nikon will make an investment into the firm. The investment is the company's first investment from an external source. Nikon and Nik will co-develop software products for distribution through Nikon's worldwide sales channels. Nik Software develops the popular Dfine photography software tool.
