Nirvanix Gets Investment From Intel Capital

San Diego-based Nirvanix announced Wednesday morning that it has added Intel Capital as an investor in the firm. Financial terms of the investment were not disclosed. Nirvanix is a developer of an Internet storage service which is accessible through APIs and third party developers, which competes head to head against Amazon's S3 storage service. Nirvanix said that the investment will go to further accelerate its global build-out. Nirvanix has previously received funding from Mission Ventures, Valhalla Partners, and Windward Ventures, and closed a Series A round of funding worth $12M from those investors in September.
