Novatel, Lucent in UK 3G Networks

San Diego-based Novatel Wireless has been tapped to supply 3G wireless network connectivity cards by UK-based O2. The third generation Universal Mobile Telecommunications System (UTMS) wireless PC Card modems, which were co-designed by Novatel and Lucent Technologies, will support O2's commercial 3G launch in the UK. O2 had previously announced that it would use the company's cards in its German 3G rollout.
