Novatel Demonstrates 4G LTE Support
San Diego-based Novatel Wireless, a developer of wireless broadband data cards, announced this morning that the firm has completed its first data transmission using Long Term Evolution (LTE) 4G technology. The firm said it is planning commercial launch of data devices with operators in late 2010. LTE is a new wireless data standard, which is expected to provide up to 100Mbps upling and 50Mbps downlink support for wireless networks.
