Novatel Wireless Targets Home Offices With New Device
San Diego-based Novatel Wireless is targeting home offices with a new, 4G LTE Internet device, the MiFi Home. Novatel launched the new product yesterday, saying the device can replace both wired voice and Internet connectivity for homes, small offices, and remote work station--turning any 4G LTE connection into a broadband and telephone connection. Novatel said the MiFi Home will provide wireless carriers an alternative to bundle voice and data rate plans and services for the home and small office customers. Novatel has already deployed the device with Verizon. The device includes a phone line connection, Ethernet ports, and support for up to 10 Wi-Fi devices.
