Novelics In Technology Deal With Synopsys
Aliso Viejo-based Novelics, which develops intellectual property for the semiconductor industry, and semiconductor design firm Synopsys said Wednesday that Synopsys will offer Novelics embedded memory IP as part of its products. Synopsys will include Novelics SRAM-1T embedded memory IP as part of a technology licensing and development relationship. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Novelics develops power-efficient, systems-on-a-chip based SRAM meory, used as part of CMOS semiconductor designs. According to the firms, the deal also includes development of a family of low-power, high performance standard SRAMs based on the Novelics design. SRAM memory is used for high speed, on-chip memory storage on semiconductor designs.
