nStor Acquired By Storage Firm
Carlsbad-based nStor Technologies, a developer of storage arrays and devices, has been acquired by UK-based Xyratex for $21.2M. nStor is a developer of storage arrays and RAID devices used in enterprise data centers. The companies said that the acquisition will combined Xyratex's expertise in high volume, high availability storage with nStor's experience in RAID controller and storage software. nStor has suffered in recent years as a marginal player in the competitive, commodity storage array market.
