Numedeon Launches SportsBlox, Virtual World For Sports

Numedeon, the Pasadena-based company behind the children's virtual world Whyville, has launched a second virtual world--SportsBlox--focused on sports fans. The new SportsBlox virtual world features virtual avatars in "sports bar" type settings, where fans can talk with other fans about their favorite teams and sports. Among features on the sites are sports brackets for March Madness; individual locations for different kinds of sports fans (football, NASCAR, basketball, golf, and others); and chat options.
