Long Beach-based Obagi Medical Products, which develops aesthetic and therapeutic skin care products, said Monday afternoon that the firm will stop selling its SoluCLENZ Rx Gel in pharmacies. The firm said that the company will instead focus on physician dispensing of its products. The firm blamed the economy, saying that "ongoing investment" in distributing the product through the pharmacy channel was "simply becoming cost-prohibitive in this current economic climate."
