Okapi Ventures Backs Pegasus Solar In New Funding

Pegasus Solar, a developer of solar panel mounting systems, has scored funding from Southern California venture investor Okapi Ventures, the company said this week. Size of the Series A fundingw as not announced. The funding was led by Ecosystem Integrity Fund, and also included Okapi Capital, plus angels. Okapi's Marc Averitt sits on the company's board. Pegasus Solar said its product was "born on the sunny roofs of Southern California". The company offers up rail-free mounting systems for solar panels, which act as part of a roof's tile system rather than as a separate system. Okapi is the original investor in Pegasas Solar, prior to its Series A. More information »
