Omega Sensors Gets Commercialization Award

San Diego-based Center for Commercialization of Advanced Technology (CCAT), a collaborative partnership among academia, industry, and government, said today that it has awarded $49,000 to Omega Sensors, a product developing Micro-Electro-Mechanical Systems (MEMS) technology. The group said that the award will go towards continued development of Omega's accelerometer technology. CCAT is supported by Congress and other government agencies, and focuses on technology that can be used in the Departments of Defense and Homeland Security, as well as the commercial marketplace.
