San Diego-based Optimer Pharmaceuticals said today that it has named Gregory Papaz as its Senior Vice President of Commercial Operations. Papaz was most recently at Genentech, and als ohas worked at Roche Pharma, Sanofi-Aventis, and Marion Laboratories. Optimer is developing antiobiotics.
