Oracle Invests In Sophoi
Redwood Shores-based Oracle announced Wednesday afternoon that it has invested in Los Angeles-based Sophoi, a developer of enterprise intellectual property management software. The strategic minority investment comes shortly after Oracle and Sophoi announced a partnership to provide solutions to the media and entertainment industry. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed, however a source close to the deal told socalTECH that the investment was worth $17.5M. Oracle said it will appoint two individuals to Sophoi's board of directors as part of the investment. Morgan Joseph advised Sophoi in the deal.
