Ortiva Wireless In Alliance With RealNetworks

La Jolla-based Ortiva Wireless, which develops mobile video management and gateway products, and digital entertainment firm RealNetworks said today they are in a global business and technology alliance. According to the two, Real will add video optimization to its Helix Universal Media Server product line, based on Ortiva's technology. Financial details of the alliance and partnership were not disclosed. Ortiva's technology is used to optimize the delivery of videos and streaming media to mobile devices.
