    Overland Storage Adds LTO4 Support

San Diego-based Overland Storage, a provider of tape backup systems, said this week that it has added support for the new HP LTO4 tape drives. Overland will use the HP LTO4 drives in its NEO Series and ARCvault tape automation systems. Tapping the latest generation of LTO4 tape drives will up Overland's systems from 9.6 terabytes to 1.6 petabytes of storage, and increase its ability to back up data to 20 terabytes per hour. The new tape libraries based on LTO4 technology will ship this month.
