Oversee.net Gets Another Lawsuit
Another class action lawsuit has been filed against Los Angeles-based Oversee.net, over a scandal involving shill bidding by one of the employees of the firm's SnapNames unit. The lawsuit, which was filed last week, was filed in the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California by law firm KamberEdelson LLC and plaintiff Stewart Resmer. The lawsuit is the second against Oversee.net, which revealed in November that it had uncovered a scheme by one of its employees to increase bids in SnapNames domain name auctions, which allows customers to bid on expired or expiring domain names. Oversee.net acquired SnapNames in 2007; the shill bidding apparently pre-dated Oversee.net's acquisition of the firm.
