Los Angeles-based Oversee.net announced Friday morning that it is acquiring SnapNames, operator of a business that manages expired and deleting domain names. Financial terms of the acquisition were not disclosed. SnapNames has been around since 2000, and provides technology that allows buyers to pre-order currently registered domain names when they expire. The acquisition is expected to close in June. Oversee.net operates a domain monetization and online marketing business. According to Oversee.net, Sudhir Bhagwan, CEO of SnapNames will continue to operate the firm, which will remain in Portland, Oregon.
