Passenger Gains $7.5M More

Los Angeles-based Passenger, a developer of private social networking sites for brands, said today that it has raised an additional $7.5M in an investment. The round came from Shelter Capital Partners, StarVest Partners, and Steamboat Ventures, all existing investors in the firm. The company said that the investment was led by DR. Bahram Nour-Omid. AS part of the funding, the firm said that Nour-Omid has been named CEO of the firm, and that Steve Howe has become Chairman of the company. Nour-Omid is a partner at Shelter Capital, and has previously served at Scopus Technology and StudioXchange, and also serves on the boards of Roamware, Isensix, and Kryptiq. Passenger's private social networking communities are used by companies to gain insight into their brands, get customer feedback, and to help market their products. More information »
