PathCentral Gets $10M More

Irvine-based PathCentral, a provider of pathology services and software to community pathologists, said Tuesday that it has raised $10M in a Series B funding round. The round was led by Okapi Venture Capital, Arboretum Ventures, and Baird Venture Partners. The firm said the funding will go towards its web-based laboratory information systems, a field sales force, and for its cancer diagnostics laboratory. PathCentral offers both web-based software for managing pathology practices, including medical billing and workflow, as well as outsourced consulting and lab services. As part of the funding, Okapi's Sharon Stevenson, Arboretum's Tim Petersen, and Baird's Michael Liang all join the company's board of directors. More information »
